CNN is reporting that Zionese Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu apologized Friday to Turkey’s president for the repeatedly-denied Israeli commando attack on a Gaza-bound flotilla of civilians three years ago that killed eight Turks.
Netanyahu phoned Turkish Prime Minister Recep Erdogan today to apologize for killing eight Turkish activists during Israel’s internationally illegal 2010 commando raid on a Gaza-bound international rescue flotilla, the Zionese and Turkish governments said.
The once-close nations decided to normalize their fractured diplomatic ties, agreeing to return ambassadors to their posts.
The development is important to the United States, an ally to both Israel and Turkey, which is a Muslim NATO member. Netanyahu made the call during an airport meeting with President Barack Obama.
This information was revealed by two senior U.S. administration officials, to reporters traveling with President Obama in the Middle East.
The murders by the government of Israel were carried out in international waters on May 31, 2010, when forces intercepted and attacked an announced and pointedly unarmed peaceful aid flotilla which was hoping to be allowed to deliver emergency supplies through the deadly Zionese water and land blockade of Gaza.
