    This just in ….

Amanda Holt, an openly heterosexual married telecommunications executive, and David Machin, also openly heterosexual and married, with three children, were total strangers when they boarded an American Airlines flight leaving Dallas, Texas. Before they landed in Manchester, England, the two were full-fledged members of the “Mile High Club.”

Despite the fact that they performed heterosexual intercourse under a blanket in their seats, in full view of the other passengers, they were both allowed to plea-bargain down to public drunkenness on the flight. According to one airline source, “Nothing and no one, short of a bucket of cold water, could have stopped them.” [Apparently there was no cold water available on the flight.]

A British judge fined Machin $1,987 and Holt $1,599. Prosecutors dropped a charge of violating public decency. Holt lost her job and Machin resigned his job. The judge decided not to punish the couple more severely because their display of heterosexual promiscuity in public was “an offense which caused offense to other passengers but not a danger.”
